Best Places to buy Accessories on a Budget

We are excited to launch the 'Anymap Guest Blogger' series this week. When you download the Anymap app on your Android or Apple devices, you will get to see maps of various interest categories made by these awesome bloggers. Anymap gives them the opportunity to present their favourite recommendations as a map and for you - the reader - to have their recommendations easily accessable on your phone when you're out and about.
Our first guest blogger is Cassandra who is more commonly known as 'cforcassan' and is based in Singapore. She is a fashion blogger who loves experimenting with beauty products and dressing up as she loves trying out different styles. She is currently finishing her studies and has made a map on 'Best Places to buy Accessories on a Budget' on the Anymap app. If you are an Android or iPhone user, download the free Anymap app, bookmark this map and browse through your places of interest. You can like the pins, comment and also share it with your friends.

Anymap: What is your blog name?
cforcassan: www.thenicethoughts.blogspot.com
Anymap: What kind of topics do you usually feature on your blog?
cforcassan: I'd usually feature lifestyle topics on my blog - food, fashion, beauty and also snippets of my personal life. I used to do food reviews quite a bit when I first started blogging more "seriously", but have slowly branched out to topics such as fashion and beauty which I love as much as food!
Anymap: When did you start your blog and what inspired you to do so?
cforcassan: I started blogging in 2006, and only did it on a more regular basis around 2 years back. I started doing it as I treated my blog as an outlet to pen down noteworthy snippets of my life so that I'll have something to look back to in the future and also to hone my writing skills. I started doing it without having any expectations of even going into the blogging industry. Some way or another, it started blossoming and became what it is today.
Anymap: What sets your style apart from other fashion bloggers?
cforcassan: I feel that I experiment quite a lot. I don't have a knack of sticking to the same style because I'll get bored of them quite easily. I'm also into colour coordination and am very conscious of how I style my accessories with my apparels.
Anymap: What do you skimp on?
cforcassan: I normally skimp on my apparels as a whole. I get most of my stuff online from the sales section unless I really do love the pieces that have recently been launched. Otherwise, I would purchase them through Taobao because that's where most of the blog shops get their stocks anyway! Truth be told, I rarely spend more than S$30 on a piece of clothing unless it is a staple piece.
Anymap: What do you splurge on?
cforcassan: Bags! I'm pretty much a bag hoarder because I feel that it can give the outfit its sparkle - something that you can't do with apparels alone.
Anymap: What do you think is the most recent notable trend to appear/reappear, and what are your thoughts on it?
cforcassan: Apparels with neutral hues or earthy tones. I've been seeing quite a number of them online. I'm a huge fan of these pieces and am also trying to stock up my wardrobe with these pieces since there are really countless of ways in which you can style them!
Anymap: What are some of your favorite boutiques that you must visit when you go shopping?
cforcassan: Since I do most of my shopping online, I would recommend blog shops like MDS, Love Bonito and Fayth because these are blogshops which I feel that you are really paying for what you get. And of course, Taobao! Otherwise, I would usually visit H&M, Forever 21 and Berhska when I'm in town.
Anymap: You have a knack for finding amazing, affordable pieces; where should girls check out to get the most out of their budget?
cforcassan: Taobao! I swear that after getting past all the language barriers (which you can easily overcome with the help of Google Translator), you're on your way to an online shopping haven that are brimming with endless possibilities. They really do sell anything and everything there. But if you are looking for my recommendations on shops in Singapore, do check out my map on the Anymap app and bookmark it so that you can easily find the shops when you are out shopping!
